In-person and Virtual Conference starts Wednesday, October 12th at 10:00 a.m. and ends Friday, October 14th at 1:00 p.m. at the Charleston Civic Center, Charleston, WV
The West Virginia Center for Children's Justice Handle with Care Conference will focus on a trauma informed response to child maltreatment and children's exposure to violence.
"Our goal is to provide you with current information to better help you serve those in our communities who experience child abuse neglect and violence," said Andrea Darr, director, West Virginia Center for Children's Justice for the West Virginia State Police, Crimes Against Children Unit and conference planner.
The opening presentation speaker is Dr. James Garbarino, author of the book "Lost Boys: Why Our Sons Turn Violent and How We Can Save Them."
According to Darr, there will be three plenaries, 42 breakout sessions and over 50 presenters for the national conference, and Continuing Education Credits are being requested for 14.5 hours for:

Registration: $175 per person
