ACE Professionals with experience in Criminal Justice for a hearing in Washington State

I am looking for people who have experience or an understanding of how ACE's can cause criminal conduct to share with me any significant information that I can use at a legislative hearing to show that sometimes the "victims" are not on the outside. During my years of working in corrections I spoke with so many people who were victims of ACE's who were facing charges or convicted of crimes ... the majority committed when the were under the age of 25... they came from horrific childhood situations. I have the opportunity to get this information in front of a group of legislators to possibly create some significant legislation where what occurred during your childhood is important when it comes to the court ordered treatment and the length of sentence ... We are not asking for a get out of jail free card but some understanding as to the fact that ACE's is real and need to be considered ...The sentence structure in Washington goes back to the early 1980's and brain development, ACE's and the neuroscience studies were not even a part of reality at the time .. If you have any thoughts, experience or information to share it would be much appreciated !!!
