Our first session in February sold out - this session has been added due to popular demand. Reserve early!
The focus of this session is on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), childhood trauma, and evidence-supported school-based practices and interventions that promote resilience. Educational and Clinically-trained presenters will provide psychoeducation around trauma and the impact of trauma/ACEs on children and adults, including educators. Attendees will also learn about the interconnection between trauma-Informed practices, Restorative Justice practices, PBIS, and culturally competent schools and receive guidance in how to integrate these practices into a cohesive implementation plan. Finally, attendees will leave with information about how to build a school staff environment that is trauma-sensitive and supportive (building-level), how to implement trauma-sensitive practices that support youth with trauma using the MTSS framework (classroom/group level), and clinical interventions beneficial to youth with trauma histories (individual level).
All educators welcome, including: teachers, counselors, school psychologists, paraprofessionals, administrators.
