Hi guys,
As part of an initiative with an aim of helping prevent the spread of ACEs and building resilience through the use of technology (online, tablets and smartphones), called Resix.io, I have been working on an alpha/first version of an online ACE toolkit targeted at professionals.
The toolkit will help professionals screen for ACEs and resiliency-levels among their clients, and it will be multi-lingual (English and Spanish being the initial languages supported), and, I'm imagining, with different versions well-suited for children and grown-ups alike. It will also allow professionals to perform multiple screenings in one session and generate PDF-based reports suited for archiving within clients' electronic or physical journals.
The toolkit will be open source, meaning that it will be free (as in speech) for everyone to use. Likewise, with the toolkit being open source, it should encourage contributions from subject matter experts across many domains. It also means that the toolkit can enhanced and modified to suit different use cases (e.g. inclusion in public websites, intranets, etc.) with very limited effort. And it is developed with a high degree of privacy in mind.
I expect to be able to launch the alpha version next week (English language), and I need all the help I can get from you guys in testing it out and help me discuss and define the future functionality. Also, I would love if somebody would assist in translating the toolkit into Spanish as my own Spanish is somewhat rusty...
Get in touch by making a comment to this post - or send me a personal message - if you would like to contribute.
Also, please bear in mind that an alpha version generally has a limited feature set and some rough edges, so expect bugs and lots of room for improvement. :-)
Best wishes for a great day to all of you,
Thomas
