Roy Wade, instructor in Pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia gave an overview of the ACEs study, and then discussed the specific effects that toxic stress has on the developing brain and body of children. He also described the findings of the Philadelphia ACEs study.
Ashaunta Anderson of RAND discussed racial socialization as a resilience factor that helps mitigate the effects of toxic stress.
