Attachment Theory Orientation And Trauma Theory--Staff Development

As part of our growing practice of staff development, we implemented a small group at Hopeworks to begin to talk about attachment theory and our work.  We are using the book Trauma and the Avoidant Client: Attachment-Based Strategies for Healing by Robert Muller.  We have broken the chapters up and come together for an hour to discuss each chapter.  This was really new learning for my staff---none had heard of attachment theory though all had been exposed to Sanctuary--as we have been doing this work for the last year and a half.  Here is one of a series of blogs that folks are posting on their learning!
