Is there a neurobiological link between childhood trauma and susceptibility to addiction? Steve Delisi, MD, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, will explain how traumatic experiences can increase the risk of addiction by influencing the brain’s development, and discuss the need for specific, trauma-informed care for those with opioid use disorder and attachment issues.
