"The state Senate has approved legislation to remove homelessness as an automatic reason for reporting child abuse or neglect.

"AB652 by Democratic Assemblyman Tom Ammiano of San Francisco says people who are required by law to report suspected child abuse should not be forced to do so based on homelessness alone...."
