Often, when a violent crime occurs on a massive scale – when a person commits serial murders or mass shootings – certain patterns of behavior became evident long before the execution of a violent action. One characteristic that has consistently emerged upon research into perpetrators of many types of violent crimes is a history of animal abuse.
