If you’re anything like me, the last few weeks have been tumultuous and anxiety-ridden. As we experience this trauma collectively, we are also becoming more connected collectively than ever before. I have had the opportunity to be “in” meetings with individuals from across the US and globally – people I likely never would have encountered had it not been for the current pandemic. With these people, I have learned about virtual meetings, taken deep breaths together, and I even did a qigong class for the first time. I’ve learned more about my colleagues now than in the past two years of working with them.
One of the opportunities I saw available was with Nikky and 143Coaching. A tribute to Mister Rogers – “It takes one letter to say I and four letters to say love and three letters to say you” – there was something about the Self-Leadership Coaching session that she was offering that drew me in. I signed up, and a few weeks ago got to “meet” Nikky virtually. I have joined her two more weeks since then, and I have come away with a number of ideas – and action steps – that align with professional intentions that I didn’t even know I had. Reflecting with Nikky and the other participants during the hour-and-a-half each week has provided me with many insights, both from her and the others that joined the meeting.
The description on her website reads “I coach you and your teams on how to liberate yourselves from the systemic patterns that have been holding you back. I am a catalyst for your personal evolution.
As a systemic facilitator, I stand next to you and your team to help you find the answers that exist within. I coach you to use your own power and awareness to "Get Unstuck".
The truth is, you and your teams will keep experiencing the same pattern until you can step back and see it and then acknowledge it for what it has given you. This allows any contradictions to settle so you and your teams can move beyond the patterns with a fresh perspective.”
Our patterns have been disrupted. Our old systems have been effectively dismantled. I see this as an opportunity to get unstuck even further – to the point where we can, together, create positive change in the world. We need it now more than ever. Nikky shared:
This meetup will be held every week on Thursday at noon .
Our volatile and unpredictable, quickly changing world requires us to be able to see and sense ‘what is’ and then respond quickly to what ‘could be’.
If you are asking yourself questions like:
How can I help my organization innovate?
How can I help my team experiment?
What do I need personally to keep myself from getting frustrated and giving up?
then this meetup is for you…
As Change Makers, we see challenges in our own systems/organizations and are often stuck as to how to create the change we know we need to be effective. The Change Maker’s Meetup is a weekly FREE Zoom that introduces tools, concepts, ideas, and even personal coaching to help catalyze the change this pandemic invites - and in some cases requires - in our own contexts.

I hope to “see” you with us next week!
