Child Abuse Prevention and Corporal Punishment

Does anyone know of any government (local / state or national) programs to prevent child abuse and child abuse fatalities that directly and explicitly deal with corporal punishment of children as part of what they do? Please let me know! (See attached for developing an organizational policy statement opposed to corporal punishment).

When I was taking a Foster Parent training course in 1997-8 with our state agency's local office, we had a substantial discussion of alternative options, and a video presentation of some in use.                                                                                   I also know of a teacher who trained at UNH during the mid-1970's, got his first position at a school in Texas, where they were issued paddles for disciplinary purposes. He left the position at Christmas break because he "wasn't trained to use paddles [or implements] for disciplining students".
