"Victims of child sex abuse relived painful memories at the State Capitol Thursday as they urged lawmakers to give victims more time to come forward to seek justice in civil court.
This was the first hearing for a bill that would eliminate the statute of limitations for filing lawsuits over child sex abuse.
Under current law, child victims must sue before they turn 24-years-old or they lose their rights.
Opponents fear the proposed change would draw out the legal process."
