Childhood Adversity, Telomeres and Love: The Crappy Childhood Fairy Interviews Susana DeLeón, MD

Today I interview  interview psychiatrist Susana De Leon, MD, who explains how early trauma changes our DNA by damaging telomeres, with potentially serious consequences for our health and longevity. We talk about how she helps people build lives full of love and connection, which can measurably change the health of their cells (and the length of their telomeres) for the better. Dear Anna:

Thanks for this video. It's interesting, hopeful and conversational. Thanks for getting some practical tips out into the world. For those who don't love reading it's great to have a video option. Dr. De Leon seems like a wonderful doctor. I like the idea of a course on relationships as love, too - not just for people struggling but for all people and to hear a doctor saying things like, "It really is about love." "To know that someone cares makes a huge difference" is refreshing.

I'll share in Parenting with ACEs as well as Practicing Resilience as Self-Care and Healing.  Cis
