Here is a report on the Children’s Day Celebration sponsored by the Future Leaders Initiative in Sierra Leone. Please read how a focus on celebrating DIGNITY experiences in childhood provided an opportunity for children, parents, teachers all to be discussing the same thing. We were all children first and our childhood experiences stay with us throughout our lives. This realization makes it easier for adults and children to join in common cause to support and not violate the dignity of children, indeed, the dignity of anyone!!

Every year we should all celebrate Children’s Day in our communities, organizations, schools, and day cares to join in common cause of recognizing and connecting to the value of children and childhood!!
