Conference Speakers Announced, New Physical Punishment Report & More
We are excited to announce our opening and closing plenary speakers for "Transforming Our Tomorrow: 2021 Prevent Child Abuse America Virtual Conference":
- Dr. Nadine Burke Harris: Surgeon General of California and long-time advocate for the prevention of ACEs.
- Vu Le: writer, speaker, and former Executive Director of RVC, known for his no-BS approach, irreverent sense of humor, and love of unicorns.
Additionally, Lisseth Rojas-Flores, PhD., Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology, Department of Doctoral Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary, will be joining as the final keynote speaker.
We are now accepting nominations for the Donna J. Stone Award through June 30, 2021. This award is given to an individual who has demonstrated an unsurpassed commitment to valuing children, strengthening families, and engaging communities.

This report showcases findings from a survey of over 3,000 US adults to better understand attitudes, beliefs, behaviors, and perceptions associated with physical punishment (PP). These findings largely support declining trends in PP identified in prior work and provide new insights for policy, intervention, and social norms change efforts.
