Hey friends

  This is Timely for ME ...I GREW UP with a mother who seemed to hate my father and my father was very effeminate... he was a untreated adult child of a raging alcoholic father. It turns out my father was in the closet and I never knew HIS SECRETS....My mother seem to push me to become Hyper-masculine and her surrogate husband.  All I knew as a young boy was  , trying to please my mother....saying to myself....I will be the man you need , mom. My dad seemed like he kept dropping the ball on my mom. So for me to find the balance as a male is a PROCESS of taking off all those false mask of pretention and becoming more real and authentic. Not staying a wounded lil dysfunctional boy....but  a functional adult male....there is so many MEN WHO HATE MEN and WOMEN WHO HATE WOMEN.....

I've read this quote a few times.

"Had my father been raised to be his natural authentic self I’m certain I would have had a completely different father, a loving protective father and therefore a completely different childhood.”

It stops me in my tracks and makes me wonder a lot.
