Early Reflections on LaSalle School's 5th Annual Capital District ACEs Symposium

It's been almost 24 hours since the Symposium ended and I don't think we have touched ground yet.  When we started thinking about what we wanted to do for this Symposium and we joked that it would be great to have Dr. Nadine Burke Harris, we thought it was nothing more than a joke.  It still amazes me that we made it happen, and had James Redford and a screening of Resilience, as well as a great afternoon panel with representatives from local police, schools, pediatrics, and managed care on stage with our morning presenters. The audience seemed engaged in the conversation, and it was great to reach so many people at one time.

On top of all of that, we were also fortunate enough to have a reception back at LaSalle School's campus in Albany, NY that allowed for one on one time with Dr. Burke Harris and Mr. Redford, and provided an opportunity for some guests who couldn't make it during the day about the importance of ACEs and Resilience.

We are still processing the day, and are already thinking about what we will do next year.  I may have a follow-up post when I have a chance to think about it even more.  For all reading who attended, thank you for making this day so fantastic.  We nearly filled a room with more than 1500 seats!
