The Philadelphia ACE Task Force is periodically providing Virtual Café’s which feature exemplary staff wellness or resiliency programs. We invite you to watch two recent interviews with staff from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and from The Support Center for Child Advocates at: https://www.philadelphiaaces.o...ojects/virtual-cafes
AND we invite you to also let us know about innovative staff wellness programs and / or practices with which you’re involved or that you’ve heard about by responding to this Google form at:

We would be delighted if someone from your organization might participate in a café interview and discussion about your successful programs or practices.
Our Policy Committee on secondary trauma inspired the Philadelphia City Council to hold public hearings on secondary trauma in the fall of 2018 and from that experience a City Council Resolution was passed in December of 2019 which calls on federal OSHA (The Occupational Safety and Health Administration) to officially recognize secondary trauma as an occupational hazard and to create standards for organizations to mitigate related caregiving stressors. Examples of such essential professional caregivers or service workers include social workers, therapists, home health aids, nurses, doctors, behavioral therapists, firefighters, police and many others.
