Facing cuts, groups that combat abuse raise money themselves - North Carolina

"Leaders of local groups that deal with child sexual abuse are disappointed with budget cuts that have slashed $250,000 from their budgets, but they’re not just sitting around hoping the federal government will restore the money.

"At a Hall of Justice press conference today, leaders of three organizations announced they are going to the community to raise the money that is being cut from their budget...."
