"The Faine House is for kids, 18 and older, who were never adopted and were never reunited with their families....
"We will teach them independent living skills, job skills, help them complete their education so that they're ready to be successful adults," said Tara Hormell with the Children's Home Society of Florida. "Each youth will have an independent living plan, so they'll have goals: educational goals, employment goals, getting transportation and goals to get them to financial stability."
Jeff Faine is the founder of the Faine House. This place has special meaning for him.
"I was adopted when I was 7 days old. Knowing I could have been bounced around the foster system, it could have been a 180 turn," said Faine.
Faine graduated from Seminole High School and got his college degree while playing football at Notre Dame. He's now 32 and just retired from the NFL...."
