Florida DCF rewarded for helping kids find their forever homes

"The Florida Department of Children and Families wins a national award and $5 million for its success in finding adoptive homes for children.

"DCF and its partners found permanent homes for more than 3,300 children last year. That was one of the best records of any state.

"Florida had an especially good record when it came to finding adoptive homes for sibling groups, teenagers and children with special needs. Usually it's harder to find permanent homes for those children...."
