(A version of this post was emailed to all ACEsConnection.com members yesterday.)
Join us on Sunday, April 10th, for a free sneak peek of Resilience, the critically acclaimed documentary by KPJR Films that chronicles a new movement among pediatricians, therapists, educators and communities who are using cutting-edge brain science to disrupt cycles of violence, addiction and disease.
The streaming event will begin at 6 p.m. PT (3 p.m. HAST, 5 p.m. AKDT, 7 p.m. MT, 8 p.m. CT, 9 p.m. ET). For people outside the U.S., that’s 1 a.m. GMT. The documentary is about an hour long.
RESILIENCE: The Biology of Stress & the Science of Hope, the latest from documentary Director-Producer James Redford and Executive Producer Karen Pritzker, premiered in January 2016 at the Sundance Film Festival to sold-out audiences.
Here's a special invitation from James Redford, the director-producer of Resilience.
Resilience is not yet available to the general public for viewing. However, the producers have generously made the film available for a virtual sneak peek only to members of ACEsConnection.com. This is a one-time streaming event that you will be able to view on any device connected to high-speed Internet service and capable of streaming Vimeo videos.
Here’s how this will work:
1. Register here — http://goo.gl/forms/yxZKUZfl8c The registration deadline is noon Thursday (PST), April 7, 2016.
2. On Friday, April 8, we will send everyone who registered an email with the passcode to access the documentary and viewing instructions for the Vimeo Pro platform.
3. Two hours prior to the streaming event, we will send a third email with another message from James Redford to encourage you to tweet and post using the hashtag, #ChildResilience, to share your observations with each other and to generate interest in the wider community.
Please do not record or make any copies of Resilience. We are very fortunate that the film’s producers have offered ACEsConnection members this amazing opportunity to see the documentary for free and before it is widely distributed. At this point, it’s only being shown in a few select film festivals. If you want to screen Resilience in your community, you will have that opportunity later this year. Beginning in August, Resilience will be available for screenings at conferences and in communities, and will be distributed through TUGG.
