Love.

A word well-bandied, but little understood, it turns out. Come with me on my first foray into the neurological jungle of the science of love, in "A General Theory of Love," by Thomas Lewis, Fari Amini, and Richard Lannon. These three MDs and professors of psychiatry know their stuff. They're men on a mission to break the truth about the brain to sadly uniformed Americans.

I never meant to get into brain science, believe me. Last thing on my "mind."


But once I read “GTL," I saw that what I didn’t know was killing me. The more I read, the more obvious it was that I had brain trauma from infancy that had me walking around mis-attuned to people from deep in my brain stem.
