Healing the past in the present

As the director of mind-body medicine for a cancer center and a primary care practice, Felitti and Anda's work has tremendous impact. They were each very generous with their time as I incorporated their findings in my book, "You Can Beat the Odds: Surprising Factors Behind Chronic Illness & Cancer--and the 6-Week Breakthrough Program for Optimal Immunity." At each physician continuing medical education conference that I present at I share relevant studies pertaining to ACEs and included the research as well in "Writing in Physical and Concomitant Mental Illness: Biological Underpinnings and Applications for Practice." Our goal is to empower physicians and psychotherapists with the tools needed to identify ACEs and heal the past in the present.
