Hickenlooper signs child protection reforms into law - Colorado

"Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper took a step toward protecting at-risk children from abuse and neglect Tuesday when he signed five bills into law at the Capitol.

"The legislation is part of an ongoing effort to address gaps in the state’s child welfare system after close to 100 Colorado children have died in the past five years despite having their cases referred to state caseworkers...."
