It’s time our legislators stopped children from being abused and murdered. Our elected officials can reduce crime, bullying, poverty, academic failure and the most common causes of death with a few strokes of the pen. And they can save America a trillion dollars in the process.
For the last twenty years, there has been irrefutable evidence that Adverse Childhood Experiences — basically, child abuse, neglect and exposure to massive household dysfunction or domestic violence — aren’t just bad for children. They rob children of their potential to be happy, productive and healthy.
