Oree, 19, is attending college after escaping from a life of sexual abuse and prostitution. She was an 11-year-old runaway when she was first forced onto the streets by a sweet-talking but vicious pimp.

About 20 percent were victims of labor trafficking, used as modern-day slaves. The other 80 percent were victims of sex trafficking, with Orange County a major stop on a trafficking circuit, O.C. task force says.
