Inaugural Academy Focuses on ACE Study

Registration is now open for the inaugural Regional Academy on Violence and Abuse which will take place on April 16, 2014 at Ashland University (Ashland Ohio). More information about the event and a link for online registration can be found at http://www.ashlandmhrb.org/acestudy.

There is no cost for attending the conference due to the major financial support of the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation and the financial support of other partner organizations. Continuing education credits will be available for physicians, nurses, social workers and counselors.

Priority will be given to professionals working in Ashland, Wayne, Holmes and Richland Counties, but anyone who is interested in attending the conference is welcome to register. The deadline for registration is March 14. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to those who register and must be printed and brought to the registration table the day of the event as it will serve as the admission ticket.

A similar academy is scheduled to take place at Summa/St. Thomas Hospital in Akron on April 17, 2014- more information about this event will be posted soon.

Please share this information with anyone (or organization) you know who is interested in addressing the impact of ACEs and preventing their occurrence.
