"What do we do about our sons?" Fonda asks. "We read the headlines about Columbine, what’s happening to America’s teenagers -- it’s what’s happening to our sons. It’s the principle of bifurcation. How we raise our grandsons is going to make a huge difference for tomorrow. We must do everything we can to keep our sons and grandsons emotionally literate: connected head to heart. Today those boys who are connected are not in a safe place, they’re bullied and called sissies, and so they don’t know why they’re doing a lot of what they’re doing, sex, drugs, booze - they lose emotional literacy."
I am hoping this is part of a growing trend of celebrity parents and grandparents, also being led by Goldie Hawn and Dr. Dan Siegel in their MindUp! Program in the schools at http://thehawnfoundation.org/mindup/
