Keynote Speakers & Workshop Presenters ?

As the Idaho Region 1 VP, for the Idaho School Counseling Association (ISCA), I am working on our annual conference, which will be held on October 2nd, and 3rd, 2014, in Coeur d Alene, Idaho.

I'm looking for a Keynote speaker and some workshop presenters for the conference, who can address the issue of how to bring trauma informed care and restorative justice into the schools.

Who would you recommend?

Hi, Kelli -- Susan Craig is great. Other people who do presentations about this are Joe Ristuccia (we have a few of his videos on the network) and his co-author Susan Cole (see Helping Traumatized Children Learn), as well as Joyce Dorado at HEARTS at UCSF. And Natalie Turner at Washington State University Area Health Education Center.

I do workshops on trauma sensitive schools and the effects of trauma on learning. I also write a blog on topics related to early trauma and child development. I have written one book on the topic and am in the process of writing another.
