Less than 1/3 of Penn State media coverage included solutions, prevention info

EVERY part of our society and culture has to change if we're going to lower our ACEs, including the news media.

The Ms. Foundation and Berkeley Media Studies Group issued a report last week that showed how far we have to go. It provides some useful recommendations for journalists AND advocacy organizations.

Full disclosure: I worked with Berkeley Media Studies Group for several years in the 1990s and early 2000s on the Violence Reporting Project, which encouraged reporters to include a public health approach in crime reporting.
