"Mahala’s Hope, founded through the work of Sandy Hardie, licensed clinical substance abuse counselor and certified trauma specialist, and a dedicated board of directors, bridges the gap between initial recovery programs or counseling to long-term support. Through equine experiential learning, the nonprofit program offers participants the opportunity to interact with horses, learning to develop bonds of trust, overcome fear, and increase self-confidence.
