Maria Yellow Horse Brave Heart, PhD, was recently interviewed in an article, “Conversations about Historical Trauma, Part One,” in the Spotlight on Culture section of the Impact Newsletter from the National Child Traumatic Stress Network. The article explores the relationship between culture, history and trauma with an emphasis on Native American experiences. Dr. Brave Heart is an Associate Professor in the Department’s Center for Rural and Community Behavioral Health.
