Burtt Richardson, Gladys Richardson, Marcia Stanton (pictured above, left to right) and I had a long lunch yesterday in Phoenix.
Burtt's a retired pediatrician who practiced in Maine for decades. Gladys is married to Burtt and does community organizing, and has set up the Primary Prevention of ACEs group on this network. They drove in from Tucson, where they spend the winters.
Marcia is a social worker at the Injury Prevention Center at Phoenix Children's Hospital and part of a state-wide consortium that's trained 13,000 people about ACE concepts.
I was in town for a journalism workshop.
