Children adopted from foster care and internationally are at significant risk of Attachment Trauma due to the many and chronic traumas they may have endured. While any child who has experience early trauma is at risk of it developing into Attachment Trauma, on average, adopted and foster children have a higher percentages of challenges due to Attachment Trauma. Sources cite 45-90% of adoptive children struggle with their early childhood trauma. #NATADay2015 nataday.attachu.org
