New Iowa ACEs Module

Iowa ACEs 360 has launched a free online course, Healing Iowa: An Overview of ACEs in Iowa and How to Respond. This interactive online learning module takes about an hour to complete and covers the following:

  • Iowa research about adverse childhood experiences and how trauma impacts health and well-being.
  • Factors that contribute to childhood trauma
  • Ways that Iowans are responding to trauma.

When the course is complete, participants will receive a certificate of completion. The course can be accessed by clicking here.

In the next few weeks, two additional free courses will be made available focusing on trauma-informed supervision and equitable response in Iowa. Thank you to United Way of Central Iowa for providing the funding to develop the course so that it could be offered at no cost to participants.

I would love to share the cognitive treatment I developed that I have used for the past 5-6 years In Baltimore, MD as it would help with achieve increased success in your communities.  This short treatment eliminates\reduces symptoms created by the memories of traumatic life events -- shifting the person from victim to survivor.  Over 70% of my patients, adults with addictions and underlying serious mental health issues who experienced trauma when young, demonstrated improvement in 3-6 months.  Some of my outcomes are shared on my company's Facebook Page:  HSI Counseling and Care Connection and on my webpage:  Yourhiddendoor.com.
