I'm very proud to see this online resource, https://traumainformedny.org/, finally launch!!
Throughout the past year, I've been working with the Office of Mental Health and CCSI as an advisory council member helping to create this website.
The people I collaborated with, some with lived experience, work in so many different sectors -education, metal health and addiction recovery, criminal justice, victims rights, family support services, & more. We all did this for FREE and in the middle of very busy lives.
It was sucessful because there were no hidden agendas, and nothing to be gained other than systemic change. It was a vested interest in helping people help themselves and others.
Our hope is that those who provide trauma-responsive services, those who want to receive them, and agents of change will use this platform to learn, find, and share information.
You'll find educational resources, trainings, and where the agencies in NYS are that are using a trauma-informed, neurophysiological lens to help survivors heal.
I'm so very grateful to be a part of this!
