Officer sues Victoria Police over workplace trauma - Australia

"A veteran police sergeant is suing Victoria Police over claims his crippling depression went untreated because police were encouraged to drink to cope with trauma instead of being encouraged to seek professional treatment.

"The 51-year-old former officer has also slammed police command for fostering a culture where getting help for stress and other psychological problems was considered bad for your career and a black mark on the reputation of the force...."
