Paper Tigers screenings for January - February 2016

If you are working with schools, you can contact the Paper Tigers representatives and arrange for your own screening.  It just costs schools $200-$300 for a single screening.  Find a theater willing to donate the space, and that's it.  In Austin, we sold out a 132 seat theater in just a day.  

Also, if you are looking for teacher training tools, please check out the link below to this free Trauma Training For Educators video and Facilitator's Discussion Guide that we've developed for schools, to help them better understand complex trauma and the effects on early brain growth, how it impacts a student's ability to regulate their emotions and behaviors, and to teach educators safety-building strategies for responding to and co-regulating with students who have a trauma reaction.  It is just 43 minutes and designed to share with an entire faculty, either during a professional development day or faculty meeting (ideally 1 hour 15 min. to 1 hour and 30 min. to allow for discussion time).  We've gotten very good feedback from others who have used it to start important discussion around making schools more trauma sensitive and opening the door to further training and coaching support.  Good luck in all of your efforts!

We are working on screening it in Tuscola county - we showed it in October up in NE rural MI.  But our newly forming Thumb area community ACES action group - need a better name- is working on trauma informed everything but are first reaching out to the school psychologists etc to get it as a showing here.
