Strengthen your multi-sectoral partnership or forge a new public-private partnership with a seed grant from Safe States.
Safe States is accepting applications fortwo seed grants of $20,000 each to utilize the recommendations included in the “Strengthening Partnerships Between Business and Public Health: A Roadmap to Advancing Community Injury and Violence Prevention” (Roadmap) to inform an effort advancing community-level Injury and Violence Prevention (IVP) outcomes between November 2021 – September 2022. Successful applicants will fall into one of two categories:
- An organization/business representing an existing partnership between public and private entities that can select one of the five sections Connect, Plan, Perform, Evaluate, and Share of the Roadmap to inform and implement a specific project or initiative;
- OR -
- An organization/business interested in forging a new partnership between public and private entities that will explore the identification and establishment of cross-sectoral partnerships. These efforts will simultaneously advance the applicant’s initiative, as well as support a "prequel" to the Roadmap under development by Safe States. The “prequel” will be a supplemental resource to the Roadmap that provides guidance to entities surrounding the identification of partnership opportunities, recommendations for initial outreach, and navigating national vs. franchise structures (business) or state vs. local jurisdictions (public health).
