Privacy Policy

ACEsConnection respects the privacy of the visitors and members to this network. We want you to understand the types of information we collect and what we do with that information. 

You should review this Privacy Policy in conjunction with the Terms of Use. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and is part of the Terms of Use, and together these documents are the overall Agreement between you and ACEsConnection. Certain terms in this privacy policy (such as “Member,” “Content” and “Membership&rdquo are defined in the Terms of Use, and we use them here for ease of reference. ACEsConnection uses Ning host this network. ACEsConnection is not responsible for those third parties’ terms of use, privacy policies and/or practices.

Children
ACEsConnection does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. ACEsConnection requests that children under the age of 18 not use the network nor submit any personal information to the network. Since information regarding children under the age of 18 is not collected, ACEsConnection does not knowingly use or distribute personal information regarding children under the age of 18. If ACEsConnection obtains actual knowledge that it has collected personal information about a child under the age of 18, that information will be immediately deleted from the network.

Information We Collect
When you use the Sites, we may collect the following types of information:

* Information you provide -– You may be asked to provide personally identifiable information (“PII&rdquo in order to register for Membership, use certain Services and/or obtain support from ACEsConnection. This information may include your name, e-mail address, social networking page address (such as Facebook®, blog address and instant messenger user/screen name, e-mail addresses, and user/screen name of those to whom you send content. We also collect other profile data including but not limited to place of employment, personal interests, gender and age in order to assist Members in finding and communicating with each other.

* ACEsConnection cookies -– When you visit ACEsConnection, we send a small file to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. This file is called a cookie. We use cookies to improve the quality of ACEsConnection by storing your preferences to share visitor trends about how people use ACEsConnection. Your browser is probably set up by default to accept cookies, including ACEsConnection cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when a cookie is being sent to your computer. You should be aware, however, that some of ACEsConnection's features may not function properly if you disable cookies on your computer. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any PII you submit while on ACEsConnection. 

* Log information -– When you visit and use ACEsConnection, our servers automatically record information that your computer’s browser sends whenever you visit any website. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your computer’s browser.

* Member communications –- When you send e-mail to ACEsConnection, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve the network. Remember that anything posted to a public area of ACEsConnection can be accessed by the public, and can be used by those people to send you unsolicited communications.

* Links -- ACEsConnection contains links to sites. ACEsConnection is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. When linking to another site a Member should read the privacy policy stated on that site. Our privacy policy only governs information collected through ACEsConnection.

It’s Your Information, You Own It.
You own your PII, and we own what you decide to share with us. If you'd like us to destroy this PII, we will remove your Member profile at any time if you request it by sending a message to Jane Stevens, the site administrator We'll do our best to remove any PII that is personally attributable to you within 10 days.

Members may modify or remove any of their PII at any time through their account Settings.

Ways We Use Information
We collect PII to authenticate people seeking Membership and to send Members notifications about ACEsConnection. You can decline to submit PII, in which case ACEsConnection may not be able to provide Membership to you. By voluntarily providing us with PII, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you provide PII to ACEsConnection, you acknowledge and agree that such Personal Data may be transferred from your current location to the offices and servers of ACEsConnection and any authorized third parties referred to herein located in the United States. If you use a bulletin board, blog or chat room on ACEsConnection, you should be aware that any PII you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other Members of these sites, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the PII you choose to submit in these forums.

We hold the PII we collect from you and other visitors in aggregate form – similar to a counter – to compare website activity information about all of ACEsConnection visitors collectively. We may share with third parties certain pieces of aggregated, non-personal information, such as the number of ACEsConnection visitors who searched for a particular term, for example.

In addition to the above, ACEsConnection will process your PII for the following purposes:
* Providing ACEsConnection to you, including the display of customized Content;
* Auditing, research and analysis in order to maintain, protect and improve ACEsConnection;
* Ensuring the technical functioning of our network; and
* Developing new services.

Furthermore, ACEsConnection may use your PII without your prior consent when we have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such PII is reasonably necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, (b) enforce applicable Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations thereof, (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, or (d) protect against imminent harm to the rights, property or safety of ACEsConnection, its visitors or the public as required or permitted by law. From time to time, we may supplement PII collected on ACEsConnection with information collected by third parties.

If we propose to use your PII for any purposes other than those described in this Policy, we will offer you an effective way to opt out of the use of your PII for those other purposes. We will not collect or use PII for purposes other than those described in this Policy unless we have obtained your prior consent.

Member profile information including members’ pictures and screen names, are displayed to people in order to facilitate Member interaction in the ACEsConnection social networking communities. Email addresses are used for the purposes of inviting new friends to join ACEsConnection, to add Members to Members’ friends list, and to send notifications related to ACEsConnection. With the exception of inviting friends, adding friends, and notifications, a Member’s email address is not shared or displayed to people within a Member’s personal network. Members communicate on ACEsConnection with each other through ACEsConnection, without disclosing their email addresses. To facilitate searching for and finding friends and acquaintances on the Sites, ACEsConnection allows visitors to search for other Members using a series of criteria, such as name, hometown and state in which Members reside.

We may also use a Member’s email address to send updates, a newsletter or news regarding the Sites.
If you are visiting ACEsConnection from outside of the United States, please be advised that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located and our central database is operated. The data protection and other laws of the United States might not be as comprehensive as those in your country. Please be assured that we seek to take reasonable steps to ensure that your privacy is protected. By using ACEsConnection, you consent to the transfer of your information to our facilities.

ACEsConnection is not responsible for the privacy policies of websites and services to which ACEsConnection links, or of which ACEsConnection are a part, including but not limited to Ning. If you provide any information to such third parties different rules regarding the collection and use of your personal information may apply. We strongly suggest you review such third party's privacy policies before providing any data to them.

Security
ACEsConnection takes commercially reasonable security measures to help ensure data privacy and security including through various hardware and software methodologies and internal reviews. However, due to the open communication nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that communications between you and ACEsConnection or any information provided to us in connection with ACEsConnection will be free from unauthorized access by third parties. Visitors to ACEsConnection use it at their own risk. ACEsConnection cannot guarantee the security of any information that is disclosed online. In light of the above and because of the complex and constantly changing nature of our business, and the security risks associated with using the Internet, ACEsConnection does not guarantee error-free performance under this Privacy Policy. To the extent permissible under law, ACEsConnection shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential or punitive damages relating to this Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
ACEsConnection reserves the rights to modify its Privacy Policy at any time and will notify you by posting an amendment to the Privacy Policy on this page. Such modifications will become effective on the day they are posted. ACEsConnection encourages you to frequently review the Privacy Policy for any modifications.
