The Traumatic Stress Institute (TSI) of Klingberg Family Centers is seeking to hire several contracted Faculty Trainers for our Risking Connection Trauma Training as adapted for organizations serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
In 2020, TSI, an international leader in the trauma-informed care (TIC) movement, made a decision to offer our training and consultation services in the IDD sector. In 2021, we launched the first-of-its-kind Pilot TIC Learning Collaborative for IDD organizations, a 16-month initiative involving four IDD agencies across the US.
As our work grows in this sector, TSI needs experienced, licensed IDD professionals to train, coach, and spread the word about our work. Risking Connection is our foundational trauma training that is a core component of TSIβs Whole Systems Change Model to TIC. Initially training opportunities will be limited to 1 to 3 per year, but we hope demand grows over time. Faculty Trainers can live anywhere in North America.
