...were Burtt and Gladys Richardson, and Barbara Jones Stern who gathered at my house in Winters, CA. We spent four hours talking ACEs. Burtt, a retired pediatrician, and Gladys, a community organizer, are developing an approach on how to engage their entire communities of Winthrop, ME, and Tucson, AZ, and especially all of these community's parents, in preventing ACEs. Barbara, a marriage and family therapist who just retired as a counselor at a Waldorf school, will soon embark on a pilot program in Sacramento that incorporates ACEs prevention into the Bringing Baby Home program. She'll have more on that later.
Burtt and Gladys are on a long drive back to Maine via Oregon and Washington, where they're visiting friends and family. Oh -- that's the wonder dog Buddy in Burtt's arms. Buddy once went for an eight-mile run with Burtt and loved it.
