Hello everyone! I wanted to drop a line to update you on how my charity is coming along. I met with a CPA so that we could begin the 501(c)(3) process. I've been anxious about getting this step started, and it is finally underway!
Also, I have been invited to attend the Amsterdam Bitcoin Conference May 15th-17th, where I will be advocating support for the charity. The Bitcoin Foundation invited me to attend since I will be one of a few charities in existence accepting bitcoin for donations. In attendance will be several early bitcoin adopters looking to help out start-ups and charities, as well as several venture capital firms also looking to help support charities like my own.
Terra Firma Network is looking for therapists willing to donate their time (either for free or discounted rate) to substance addicts looking to break out of their addiction. We want to utilize the adverse childhood experiences approach to therapy to give the patient something tangible to reflect on, process, and understand his or her personal struggle with addiction. Ultimately, we want to change the perception of addiction from criminality to compassion.
If you or any therapists you know are willing to donate your services, please feel free to contact me through this site or via email: rich@terrafirmanetwork.org.
Take care,
