June 7-9, 2023 @ Royal Sonesta Hotel, Minneapolis, MN
Many of us have completed our professional education remotely over the past three years and crave the social connection, networking, and shared learning experience with colleagues that an in-person conference provides. As you consider your options, you might find a previous blog post that describes what makes the Covington Curriculum Conference unique, helpful.
This post explores another notable feature of this conference – the mix of a foundational presentation by Dr. Covington, in-depth core curricula and special focus learning tracks with an esteemed panel of certified trainers, and optional evening events with Dr. Covington. During registration, you will be asked to select these learning tracks – a one-and-a-half-day core curriculum and a half-day special focus curriculum and while the name explains somewhat, this may help you decide which track is best for you.
Dr. Covington’s curricula were originally designed for women, girls, men, and boys for use in either community or correctional settings. New editions include a more inclusive and expansive model of gender; and those without a specific criminal justice version discuss implementation in criminal justice settings. Adaptations for youth may also be discussed. During all core tracks, trainers will collect all adaptation questions for Dr. Covington to answer as she visits throughout the day-and-a-half. This breakdown may help you decide based on who and where you provide services:
