Echo conferences have a reputation for being chockfull of innovative approaches and cutting edge science. We featured Dr. Vincent Felitti and ACEs science in 2013, Dr. Bessel van der Kolk in 2015, and hosted the first national trauma-informed schools conference in 2016. What we have prepared for 2019 is no exception. I guarantee it will be unlike any conference you have attended before.
The innate wisdom of the body has long been understood by traditions like yoga and harnessed for indigenous healing practices. Now that wisdom is being married with neuroscience and knowledge of the autonomic nervous system to create new practices such as neurofeedback, havening, and tapping (EFT).

It makes sense that if trauma impacts our body and brain, then resolving trauma has to start with reversing those effects.

At our conference on March 18 &19 in Los Angeles we will be highlighting the many different ways to recover from trauma that don't involve pharmaceuticals or talk therapy. You will have the opportunity to explore these traditional and groundbreaking practices not just intellectually, but actually in your body.
Since #MeToo hit Hollywood, Echo has been bringing trauma and resilience to training to the entertainment industry. Leaders and workers from both the world of trauma and entertainment will come together to celebrate the liberation that comes from understanding how to heal the trauma in your body, and to elevate survivors. We will kick off with a screening of the new video, Don't Silence Me, which is an anthem to survivors everywhere. We conclude the first day with the powerful spiritual exhortation of Dr. Anthony Pico, who will remind us of our role as the 'seventh generation' and bring a sacred song given to him by his ancestors for this time.
If this all sounds a little woo-woo or scary, don't worry — every workshop is backed up by sound science. Whether you are eager to dance your heart out or exercise only your critical thinking, we have something for you. Each workshop and presentation will provide an opportunity to apply some of the techniques showcased so you can see for yourself how the theory works in practice.
Never before have we gathered such a range of interesting, revolutionary and effective means of healing from trauma. If you don’t come for yourself, come for those you love and/or serve.
--------------------------------------------
As ever, the Echo conference is a meeting place for everyone who has experienced the toxic effect of stress and the inextinguishable resilience of our bodies and communities.
--------------------------------------------
This conference is a place to celebrate and mourn, dance and cry, go inward to greater self-knowledge and outward to make new friends. But most of all, the Echo conference is a testimony to our growing understanding of trauma and resilience and our determination to make this information accessible to everyone.
We want you there, so we are extending a special rate to ACEs Connection members. Just go to the standard registration on the shopping cart and enter the code aces315 when you check out.
