Perhaps the greatest source of inequality in our world is the variability in the quality of parenting. Something as important as parenting shouldn’t be left to chance. What I mean is…some children will be born to loving parents who engage in parenting behaviors and practices generally recognized as supporting their healthy development. Other children will be born to parents who engage in unsupportive/harmful/abusive parenting. Is this fair? Shouldn’t every child be raised by great parents? This is why I started Advancing Parenting. We are pioneering a new kind of parenting education…one that reaches everyone, everywhere, all the time. It is our hope that this kind of proactive, participatory, passive, public parenting education will elevate and level the parenting playing field.
