Please welcome these three new communities to the PACEsConnection.com network!
- ND PACT: The North Dakota Prevention and Action Coalition on Trauma
- PACEs & Latinx Communities
- Trauma Informed Barry (MI)
Details about each of them are below as is information about starting and growing your community initiatives and joining the Cooperative of Communities.
ND PACT: The North Dakota Prevention and Action Coalition on Trauma : ND PACT is a trauma-informed collaborative of agencies, stakeholders, survivors, and community members across North Dakota. Join us as we work on trauma prevention, building resilient communities, and stopping systemic cycles of re-traumatization to further equity, justice, and healing for all North Dakotans. Community Manager: @Sara Durbin.
PACEs & Latinx Communities : This community is dedicated to advancing PACEs initiatives for Latinx communities, including any individual who traces their roots to Latin America and Spain. We are guided by current scientific research in this area suggesting that stressful and traumatic events among both foreign-born and US-born Latinx often differ from those of US-born/non-Latinx individuals. Community Managers: @Rafael Maravilla(PACEs Connection Staff) & @Porter Jennings-McGarity.
Trauma Informed Barry (MI) : The Trauma Informed Work Group in Barry County is helping the community build a Trauma Responsive Community. The work group is a collaborative of community organizations in a rural, and often underserved area of Michigan. Community Manager: @Bill Mattson.
