Trauma-Informed Student Codes of Conduct

The Trauma-informed School movement is at a critical stage where student discipline policies must reflect the educational neuroscience and trauma-informed practices being implemented in our schools. Otherwise, you haven't made it yet to the trauma-informed stage. Use this link as a litmus test:

I welcome others to share their work in this area.

I'm going to send this to every school district official, school psychologist and teacher in my network, probably 30 people... Thank you so much!!

Thanks Kathy. Together, we can change the narrative in our schools! Much is written about the "school to prison" pipeline. However, I haven't seen tangible products to back the verbiage for change. Hence, the motive behind my article. I have found it is critical to involve those most knowledgeable in the neuroscience (social workers, etc.) to play major roles in this process. That alone will be a sea change as those individuals typically are not empowered in most school systems. All my best and please share. Jim
