Why attend: Childhood experiences, both positive and negative, can have a significant impact on the lifelong health and opportunity of individuals and families. The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) study links risky health behaviors, chronic health conditions, low life potential and early death to events occurring in childhood. ACEs are a public health issue that can be prevented. Applying the ACEs framework to fetal, infant and child death review helps to identify and target unique prevention opportunities.
